22. Effects of Cyber Bullying

Cyber Bullying has serious and lasting effects for those who are bullied as well as those who bully others and those who witness cyber bullying.

They have a higher risk of depression and anxiety that may persist into adulthood.
Their education can get affected due to loss of interest in activities. They have increased feeling of sadness and loneliness leading to changes in sleep and eating patterns. They have increased thoughts about suicide. They are more likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school. They are more likely to retaliate through extremely violence.

People who cyberbully others:
They have a higher risk of abusing alcohol and drugs. They are more likely to get into fights, vandalize property, and drop out of school. They are more likely to have criminal convictions as adults. They are more likely to be abusive toward their romantic partners, spouses or children as adults.  They might developped increased mental health problems, including depression and anxiety.
