SL Design Hack

SL Design Hack 1.0 organised by Young Artists Society of Sri Lanka, founded by Shilpa Sayura Foundation with the funding from Internet Society Community Grant "Respect Girls on Internet" project. 

We aims to unleash best creativity in Youth Expression to increase awareness of internet safety.

Where is the Competition ?
This competition is online 
and you can join from a local hack spot.

  • A Hack spot can be a home , school, office or public place with food, water and electricity.
  • You can invite who ever you like to local hack and upload creatives to the competition page. If you like to run a HACK SPOT contact us for support and information
How to take part ?
You can take part in  Animation or Graphics Categories or both.
You can submit any number of creative work, but you may win only one prize.
Your animation or graphic should reflect your expression
Your work should follow the competition theme : Youth & Internet - Issues & Solutions

Technique and Tools
You may use any tools to create animation or graphics and need to upload them
Animation 20 second - 720p , HD Video on Facebook, Vimeo or Youtube.
photos 1024 x 800 high quality JPG. The judges may request your workfiles to determine originality.

Languages
Sinhala , Tamil or English, Sign  OR no-language accepted.

Content
The content of the animation or graphic should be suitable for all audience regardless of age.
No content accepted that promote harassment, violence  and hate speech against any culture, community or religion. The organizers reserve the right to decide acceptance of content. You may submit only your own orginal work.

Dates and Times
March 7  Monday 9 AM -  March 8 9 AM Sri Lanka Time (IST)
You should submit your creatives during this period only.

Judging 
Your creative work submitted for the  SL Design HACK 1.0 will be promoted on internet for 10 days for public feedback. 10 finalists chosen from each section and age category by organizers and called for a public voting.

Judges from creative and social sector will evaluate the finalist creatives and select a Winner and Runner up for each section and age category . Public choice award given to most number of likes and shares by public. In case one competitor winning two places, the minor place given to next competitor on policy of price per one person.

Judging CriteriaOriginality, Presentation and Message. Judges decision shall be final.

Senior  : Animation Winner, Runner Up and Public Choice Awards - 3 Awards

Certificate for 60 finalists

Extra to these winners will receive  gifts and prizes from sponsors.

After the Competition ?The Top 3 Senior and Junior Creations for Animation and Graphics categories submitted to Adobe Aspire Awards. That would enable their admittance to Adobe Youth Voices program to win a creative scholarships.

Copyrights
All creative works are copy right of the creator. They shall be submitted to the competition with creative commons license with no commercial use and no derivatives terms. The creater will grant organizers non-exclusive rights to use and share a like with community and  global programs.
